Jason Wahler is a popular TV personality, Host, Actor, Advocate, and Philanthropist who has appeared on hit TV shows like MTV’S Laguna Beach, The Hills, and Celebrity Rap Superstar and The Hills: New Beginnings.
After years of publicly battling with addiction, he appeared on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab and began a new life in recovery. Jason has since dedicated his life to raising awareness on substance abuse, and mental health, with the hope of one day changing the public's negative perception.
Over the years, he has formed partnerships with advocates such as Dr. Daniel Headrick, "Dr. Drew" Pinskey, Dr Amen and Tim Storey.
In 2017 the E! Network produced a "True Hollywood Story" featuring Jason's remarkable transformation, highlighting his dedication to recovery and his mission as a recovery advocate. That same year Jason received the esteemed Faces & Voice's "Voice of Recovery Award" in Washington, D.C., honoring his efforts to make a difference within the recovery community.
In 2021 Jason was able to provide over $1 million in treatment scholarships through his work as marketing director and co-chair on the board of The Red Songbird Foundation.
With the highly acclaimed relaunch of The Hills: New Beginnings, Jason and his wife, Ashley, decided to create a platform to help those who feel trapped in the JAWS of addiction, co-dependency, and mental health issues. Their successful YouTube show "THE JAWS DIARIES" brings viewers along for a realistic front seat chronicle of how the couple has tackled these issues while raising a young family. The show helps provide insight, information, and tools for how to successfully navigate these issues.
These days Jason continues to work closely with media outlets, celebrities, young adults, schools, law enforcement, churches, and athletes to promote addiction education and prevention. He is a guest speaker, spokesperson, and recovery advocate, openly sharing his story to provide education, inspiration, and hope for those who are still struggling. He also serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Mission and Cure Addiction Now, and is currently the Director of development for Dr Amens, Change Your Brain Foundation and recovery advocate with "Alyst Health".
Jason continues to use his personal experience and his presence in the public eye to inspire people who struggle with substance abuse and mental health to get help. His involvement within the recovery community has changed his life and has allowed him to be a resource for thousands of individuals who need help but don't know where to start.
