  • What makes JAWS different? We’re the first married couple in entertainment to openly share our successful story of addiction, recovery and codependency, from a Christian perspective. Our foundation is recovery, faith, love, and healthy communication.

We give you an unfiltered look at our lives: staying married, navigating recovery, and leaning into our faith. Addiction and codependency carry shame, but the only way to heal is through honesty. We're here to talk about the hard stuff, break the silence, and help others through their journey.

  • We started JAWS to document Jason’s first year of recovery after a relapse, hoping to help others. Now, three seasons later, we’ve shown how addiction is a family disease, affecting everyone. When we started, communication was a struggle. But over time, we built a foundation of safety and created a “common language” that helped us understand each other. We shifted from “talking at each other” to focusing on understanding each other. This change has made all the difference in our relationship, making tough conversations more productive and less confrontational.

  • Faith has been transformative for both of us. For Ashley, it brought peace in ways she’d never known. For Jason, it’s deepened his connection with God. Our marriage thrives when we’re spiritually connected, and our faith guides everything—how we raise our kids, manage challenges, and make decisions.

Parenting isn’t easy, but we’re committed to breaking unhealthy cycles and building a stronger future for our kids. Our approach to parenting is rooted in recovery—setting boundaries, focusing on emotional growth, and teaching them the importance of structure and communication.

We’re learning and growing together, creating a better environment for our children than we had growing up. Our family life isn’t perfect, but we're embracing progress, faith, and love.

  • We want you to know that no matter what you’re going through, you’re not alone. We’ve been there, and we’re here to walk alongside you.

We don’t have all the answers, and that’s why we need YOU. Sharing your story can make all the difference, and JAWS is about more than just us—it’s about YOU. Let’s build a community where everyone’s voice matters.

Here’s how you can get involved:

    • Watch the show.

    • Engage with us in the comments—we want to hear your thoughts, experiences, and stories.

    • Share your truth and connect with others who understand what you’re going through.

You never know what might happen when you share your story. The connections you make can lead to unexpected blessings. We believe there’s so much more to come.

Each week, we hope to create something meaningful together because the journey isn’t the same without you.
